Investment

Therapy is a compassionate and worthy investment in yourself.

Imagine that a close, dear friend is hurting immensely and struggling to live each day…they feel helpless and hopeless to make the changes they need.

Would you recommend support and guidance of professional therapy? Would you tell them that their renewed sense of safety, clarity, and empowerment are worth their time and financial cost?

YOU are your dearest friend. We often don’t hesitate to offer the best for others, but we deprive ourselves of the same kindness and permission.

  • CMC Counseling is not contracted with any insurance plans.

As the founder and sole practitioner of all clinical services at CMC Counseling, I am a private-pay and an Out-of-Network (OON) provider.

However, if you have good OON benefits, your insurance company may provide decent partial reimbursement. This means that in some situations, using your OON benefits can actually be more affordable or comparable to your standard copay to seeing an INN clinician.

I provide a superbill upon request if your insurance plan offers OON coverage. Please check with your insurance provider on your OON coverage and its requirements, including your deductible and submission timeframe.

Please note that you are solely responsible for any and all communications and procedures related to your reimbursement for OON coverage. I cannot guarantee your OON reimbursements.

  • I am committed to serving individuals and/or communities that face financial barriers to mental health services. However, as direct clinical work represents just a portion of my work schedule, I am able to only offer limited availability for clients needing a sliding scale. Please reach out to me to see if I have any sliding scale slots open and to discuss your financial situation.

Please be mindful that if you request services at the lower end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher rate, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility.

  • Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the No Surprises Act, which requires practitioners to provide a Good Faith Estimate about out-of-network care.

The Good Faith Estimate works to show the costs that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service, a diagnosis, and a reason for therapy. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act (PHSA), health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request, or at the time of scheduling health care items and services to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.

Once you make a service appointment with CMC Counseling, you will be provided with a more detailed Notice of No Surprises Act Protection and your personalized Good Faith Estimate.

You deserve care.
